INFORMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Information Sciences; It includes the basic capabilities of Computer Engineering, but covers a much wider area and is a field of science in which it cooperates with many disciplines such as Social Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Health Sciences, Military Studies, Law and Media.  It provides solutions for problems in many different fields such as business, economics, engineering, biology, health and publishing, and creates new uses for information technologies.

Studies in the field of Information Sciences have led to the emergence of Information Systems, which are indispensable tools in increasing the effectiveness of management and decision-making. Information systems; It includes activities such as collecting, processing, distributing, storing organizational data, and transforming it into cognition with intelligent techniques. Information Systems; from the banking sector to the automotive industry, from health information systems to company management, from telecommunication systems to air transport. It is an integral part of business and organizations. In this respect, it is necessary to study and master the basic skills of Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering and Business Administration.

 

Aim

The aim of the department; to follow the technological and scientific developments in the field of information systems, competent, productive, having scientific production power, accepting science and experimentation as essential, participatory, having the power of numerical and academic thinking, self-learning and lifelong learning, taking responsibility, internationally is to be a department that converts the produced knowledge into social and industrial benefit and complies with ethical rules.

 

Target

The objectives of the department are; is to be a continuously renewed and developing department to transform the information gained into social and industrial benefit and transform the information systems into a productive power and to monitor the developments in the global field and to train competitive engineers.

Information and technological applications are among the prerequisites for the development of a country. Computers increase competition in all sectors, including one of the technological applications. On the other hand, interdisciplinary approaches and studies are becoming more common in the world. As a result, party production or the use of these systems and approaches requires trained workers.
